Having spoken To my Dad and brother who have just got back from Toulouse I am shocked at just how hot it was it was 38c so I take back what I said and now understand why the team faded in the 2nd half. Good win in very difficult conditions.

nah,it was actually 30°C in the shade - that's official.Still pretty warm though and well above the seasonal norm of about 22°C.

Just for the record at the Press Conference after the game I asked MC that very question ie "do you think the hot conditions affected the players performance in the second half ?"
Matt replied "no,not at all,it was more a case of Toulouse playing better and us not keeping up the momentum of the first half "
remember,it was the same conditions for both sides and TO didn't seem to suffer from the conditions either.
The second half was played in about 25°C when the sun went over the far stand.

well played Fax - good luck in the semis

Just returned home from France , really enjoyed the trip, great craic amongst the fans, shame there was only eleven of us.

Hopefully the team will now turn the corner with their return to winning ways.

well done to all the travelling fans - it must have been difficult to arrange things at such short notice ?
You were well rewarded by a good performance which will hopefully kick start your season.

Toulouse is a great city - did you manage to find the Melting Pot ?

Team battered in the first half come out fighting in second half shocker! I despair at some of our fans, I'm surprised people weren't calling for Calland's head after the Grand Final win because we were loads better than the one point victory suggested...

We won a cup tie and are through to the semi finals, what more can we do? Yet people STILL moan!!! After the season so far it was vitally important we got a win under our belts and we did that in a tricky away game.

There are no easy games in this division, anyone can beat anyone and it wouldn't be a shock, so the sooner some people start to realise this the better. Just because we won the league last year doesn't give us the God given right to think we can steamroller teams this year. We aren't the best team in the league at the moment, we weren't last year either, its about how you finish the season, not start it and hopefully we've got our confidence and winning mentality back and can push on.
