Free tickets in the CC worked then? : Fri May 13, 2011 9:46 pm
I know its another late post on a topic from last weekend but had a busy week.Did anyone else notice the still poor crowds in the CC despite the SL free tickets offer last weekend?
So the Fat Controller's plan yet again is not working, do you think like me that those fans who went to these games will in the majority go to them anyway?
Take Bradford, 10K season ticket holders yet only managed to give away what was it 2700 for last Sunday and some of those did not bother to turn up.
If people had paid for their tickets then normally they use them, I heard that several hundred did not turn up last Sunday?
All ticket games always get lower crowds in RL, its a habit RL fans are not used to and it puts them off, did people really think we would get over 9K last Sunday especially with it being on TV? Should never have been all ticket but with Fat Nigel's free ticket offer the clubs had no choice as potentially 10K Bradford fans could have turned up, plain stupid idea.
Another thought a friend raised is what if Saints had drawn Warrington or Wigan last week? A near capacity crowd with hardly any income from it? (not sure how many season ticket holders Saints or Wigan/Warrington have but must be around 12K between them surely?)
Great idea eh? Its okay when its little old Batley, Halifax or whoever playing at home they can lump it tough but if it had been a Saints v Wigan derby all hell would have broke lose about the free ticket offer methinks.
Bin it, make it ONLY HOME GAMES not away as well, easy solution like I have said before happy to pay at an away ground as my season ticket is for the Shay.
