Northern Rail Cup Final : Sat Jul 16, 2011 4:48 pm  

Well tomorrow is hopefully another big day for our Club. A win against Leigh just before the announcement of Super League teams would be a huge "dig in the ribs" for the powers that be at Red Hall. Hopefully we'll go to Blackpool and have a great day out. . please try and get something Blue and White. . Malcolm has a load of Blue and White balloons in the shop FREE. All you have to do is blow them up! When the players come out a sea of Blue and White will really get them going. Shop will be open around 8.30am tomorow as long as Malc gets up in time!!! We've asked the PA systems people at Blackpool to play "Sex on Fire" by Kings of Leon, so join in and lets be the 18th man we were at Barrow. I'll be there with my camera trying to get as many pictures of you all as poss, with the occassional match picture!. . .I've already started uploading some if you're interested at http://halifaxrlfc.smugmug.com/Fax-Phot ... 57_xkxsMcq And please guys, dont let anyone around you or in Blue and White misbehave. . lets get the chants and songs funny not coarse, lets shout and sing loudly I know it really does inspire the lads when they hear it on the pitch, lets show the RFL that our supporters are great and not give them any excuse to knock us back on Super League So Have a great time win or lose. . There are 55 of us, our ages range from 70ish (not me) to 3 years old.
50 going to the match, normally 8 of us go.
Every one will be in blue and white.
I can not guarantee good behaviour tho'
After all, when your 3 (or 70) you can be forgiven for misbehaving.

Spoke to the Match Commissioner after the game and was told that Fax fans had been really great. "not a single problem" There had been a couple of small issues at the Leigh end but overall both sets of fans had been exemplary So a huge Thank You from all of us at the Club. I'm sure you were as disappointed as we all were at the result but not at the effort the lads put in All the team want to say Thank you for all the "Blue and White" and the support they got throughout the game Sorry we didnt quite get you the result but we'll try even harder for the Grand Final Cheers Mike R PS Hundreds of pics of Grand Final on Club web site. .
