Feeling very downbeat and FRUSTRATED : Thu Jul 28, 2011 10:04 pm
I don't know about others but this week has been tough as a Fax fan as I feel like our club has been made a football to be kicked about by our own and many other clubs fans many who are loving our 'demise' and those who sympathise (my thanks go to them) and many of our fans like me who are downright angry with the shoddy treatment we have had by the men in charge. Which brings me round to how powerless I feel to really get to those who seem to be in TOTAL control of what was once our own 'beautiful game'. Protests, sending emails & letters, having a 'Demo' or banners at our game or even other clubs games on Sky all seem futile as you have to ask do the RFL top dogs really care?
Er no, they are worse than politicians as even a politician sometimes admits they 'got it wrong' or 'made a decision that might have not been the right one' yet do you ever hear those words from Nigel Wood or Richard Lewis? No.
Have they admitted the Crusaders very expensive experiment has been a failure?
No.
Have they even admitted the loan they gave the Crusaders won't get paid back? No
They say it is secured against assets - what bl++ding assets Mr Lewis? They have none as they are tenants at the Racecourse ground and the players can leave for nothing (one of your conditions of being free agents when you team are not in SL) so how will they be able to repay that kind of debt, the are bust which usually means you are insolvent = have no money.
Yet they still lie and will never be wrong.
I really do want to get our voice across to them how they are hurting the very sport that pays their wages, why are they putting the very future of a great club like ours in jeapardy as fans might walk away now, so may some sponsors and even some of our best players?
This a club with a rich history and in a town with RL running through its veins?
Why?
I feel sad and despondent as they hold all the aces and they seem to be immune from any criticism as they have people on a piece of string, like puppets. Its like being in a totalitarian state, they have far too much power.
How has it got like this?
I seem to recall that former RFL chiefs like David Howes, who I know was a bit 'smarmy' but he did seem to listen and not be a control freak like these guys.
