I must say though i dont agree with “Halifax have played a so-called expansive game, and they do win games,” said Harrison. “But if you analyse it, they’ve not been that expansive: there is a lot of dummy half running, utilising those explosive players they have got, and they score a lot of what you could call easy tries. I wouldn't say that Fax scored Easy tries at all, i would say they scored tries from Fantastic plays and the skills of the individuals, Worrincy, White, Penky. Future is brighter, its blue and whiter

as long as the young players are up to the standard, which im sure they will be then my trust is in Rhino!

the only way to improve our club is with quality youth, and then when we get back into SL we can buy aload more 2nd rate ozzies!

would love to see fieldhouse play a bigger part next year - he is quality....we might see him on sunday yet!!

Interesting that Karl mentions size and aggresion.
When Brian Smith first signed him for HUll some years back I can remember Smith saying that Hull had been bullied and then went on to add "well no more, we will meet fire with fire, anyone playing against HUll FC would have a real physical battle on their hands."
Karl and a couple of others helped prove that statement true.
Whether this has stuck with the big man I don't know but that clearly is his philosophy and should make for some good old "give it to them" rugby league.
On the back of the "give it to them" rugby the "cream" players that he mentions will have a real chance to put the icing on the cake if you pardon the pun.

That will get the crowd behind the lads.

All this chat about ticking boxes really is wasted energy.
SL will be reduced to 12 teams next time around, the only heartlands team with a glimmer of hope is Leigh but they've a lot to do off the field with regards to finances.

We have got no chance in the short term, poor crowds & if we were to average 10,000 the RFL would move the goal posts.

Just got back off holiday and having read that I have to say what a top article and big Karl talks a lot of sense, surprised more people have not commented on it.
What he says is what a lot of us have been crying out for at Fax for the last 2 years and more!
I am confident we have got a bright future, we may need to show a little patience but we will do well I am sure next year, I just want more consistency as I am tired of having some games with us playing flash rugby but not knowing which Halifax RLFC will turn up on the day and being beaten bu better organised teams who 1 to 18 are not as good as us on paper!
