I watched a cracking game at Thatto Heath - England Women Students against Combined Services, 28-18 to the Services but a great match, hard and tough from the off, really enjoyed it as did a few others who hadn't seen much female rugby before.
I was watching Elland v Siddal U18's this morning & very serious news coming out of the Elland camp, they failed to raise enough players to turn out a team yesterday. I also heard that last week at Siddal only a couple of their players attended the after-match hospitalities in the bar. The lads I was talking to this morning are very senior members of the Elland club and have long & respectable connections with that club, I hope they can turn things around despite obvious local rivalries this isn't good news for them.
I'll hold my hands up and admit I'm really out of touch with the local RL Scene, but I have heard about trouble at Elland raising a team ect, Be a Shame if its right
Watched King Cross Park this Saturday at their new ground. Got a right trouncing from Keighley. Park wern't that bad actually Keighley were very good. Park seconds got a hammering too. The set up at KCP is excellent, brilliant club house, nice new pitch close to their club house, but with respect the playing staff needs improving.
