They're right, he can't tackle. Thing is, a player of his attacking quality is never likely to be picked based on his defensive capabilities!

Yep they didnt sign him for his tackling qualities. Only thing is from recent evidence it does appear his attacking qualities are in question as well.

Tony Fax could fill that Batley thread full of "told you so's".

Go on TF, tell 'em how it is - with regards to Blacky. Those posts you made 5 year ago would fit right in there now

Come on Blacky was a good lad for us and we will always be grateful to him for winning the 2010 GF with THAT drop goal.
He is not the player he was and that is why i agree it was time for him to move on but lets not start slagging him off he left becuase he was cut from next years squad and still has Fax at heart, he still lives here!

And festive greetings to you, oh little one Oh yes, Benny was a "good servant" for Fax but he has struggled somewhat the past couple of years .... lost that extra yard of pace to take him through those defences. Cannot see him regaining that and as I've said, Batley supporters are expecting too much and think they've signed some majestic world beater, but they'll be disappointed. Am I right? I'm not wrong!

ben Black on his day is the best scrum half in the league, however his 'days' were few and far between last year, hindered by injuries and a lack of confidence.

we have replaced him well with thacks, players out of the same mould.

blacky is a fax hero, and to start putting him down on here after one game is laughable!

do not be supsied to see him torment us in our meetings with the bulldogs this year.
