but he can cover wing , centre and possibly full back

In my opinion James is one of the best tacklers and best under a high ball we have. But unfortunately I have to agree cant see him being a regular. And am I right in thinking there is a club captain and a team captain?

That's exactly why we need a squad, not just a core of 20 or so. One injury could dismantle any team depending which player it happens to. Good luck to James with his fitness battle, it puts him behind the others in the pecking order, but injuries and form dips are almost certain throughout a season.
