feel for Batley to be honest. He would have been quality in this league!

did he play in any of their warm up games?

Played bit parts in matches against Dewsbury on Boxing Day and at Keighley. I think our replacement for him will be Paul Mennell who showed up well at hooker against Huddersfield last weekend. Half back places will be between Henderson, Moore and Black.
No surprise really, we always expected that he would be out sooner rather than later.

Danny Grimshaw has apparently left Fev as well this week due to work commitments.

Am not surprised after hearing the Fev training schedule. Hard work for part time players by the sounds. Fisher might still end up playing at the shay yet anyway his contract is only for initial 2 months
