Neil's Notes v Leigh/Away Travel : Fri Apr 20, 2012 7:38 am
It was a night everybody wants to forget. This is the excitement of being a Fax supporter, just when you think the team are performing consistantly it comes and bites you in the bum. It is no good looking back, you cannot change what has past. We can however show what a good team we are over at the Sports Village in 10 days time. Results for Club 1873 were number 147 Paul Taylor who wins the £20 voucher and number 107 Alan Bennett for the £15 voucher.
The Shay Lounge Man of the Match went to Ben Heaton who gets 3 points, 2nd with 2 points was Ryan Fieldhouse and 3rd with 1 point was Jim Gannon. That extends Ryan's lead in the season long competition to 11 points with the nearest on 5 points Anthony Thackeray, with Craig Ashall and Jim on 4 points.
The Hitman award sponsored by Halifax RLFC Players Association went to Luke Ambler who was still trying to urge everybody on as we nearly pinched a bonus point. Gordon Baker who captained Halifax in the 70's when we won the Floodlit Trophy and went on for a spell at Leigh presented the award.
