Neil's Notes v Dewsbury/Away travel Batley : Mon May 14, 2012 9:07 am
Well after the disappointment of 2 losses to Leigh back to winnings ways, racking up 110 points in the process. No one would have predicted such a score at Featherstone. Went off the boil for the last quarter yesterday but cannot complain about 50 points. The sponsors (Des Clarke who runs Concrete Pumping) Man of the Match went to Penky who also picked up 1st place and 3 points in the Shay Lounge Player of the Season with the Hitman sponsored by Halifax RLFC Players Association going to Makali Aizue. On a couple of occasions he stopped the Dewsbury player dead in their tracks. On the quiet though our half backs Paul Handforth and Anthony Thackeray as well as dictating play put in their fair share of tackling.
2nd place for the Shay Lounge Player of the Season saw Rob Worrincy picking up the 2 points with Anthony Thacheray 3rd with 1 point.
Ryan Fieldhouse still leads on 11 points and Anthony 2nd with 6 points and Penky 1 point further back on 5.
