These are the types of "predators" the RFL wanted to protect against when they gave Bradford over a million squid for the lease. Now looks like they'll be selling it back at a fraction of that price- to predators!! Normally at this point I'd say "you couldn't write this stuff" but this is the land of the RFL - where fairy stories and tales of horror glide effortlessly into real life documentary.

There is some sort of live monitoring but the question is how much do you want to spend on monitoring people who should be doing the right job in the first place ?

Personally, I wouldn't permit borrowing off the chairman or any other director. If they want to give a club some money, fine. I'd make exceptions for maybe some capital project that would generate income but there'd have to be a realistic repayment programme in place and if that programme's not met, the director chips in the shortfall.

It's only by "lifting the veil" of incorporacy and making directors truly responsible financially for the risks they take that we'll get back to reality.

Of course, this would all be totally unpalatable to the clubs and it'll never get passed. So we're stuck with what we've got.

In the meantime, we can all help by not calling on the directors to sign Billy Slater everytime we lose more than two games in a row. Only one team in the league wins the Grand Final.

Having just had the privilege to listen and watch last nights state broadcast from our glorious leaders, sorry I mean rugby leagues weekly magazine show, boots n all, in which Stadler and Waldoff got to air the super league vision and it's need to maintain the status quo, a six point penalty is as bad as It will get.

Eddie interviews big Nige stating he thinks Nige isn't keen on P and R, about as keen as he Is on lettuce, manages to highlight how great the current system is and that relegating teams from SL like us, Leigh and workington, shows its flawed. we weren't ever good enough to return it seems. Poor club structure and not able to attract fans according to momentum man.

The league must allow the newco Akbar-e-Bullti RL2012 the chance to thrive, don't allow other clubs to decimate the playing staff and give them a chance to still reach the play offs. Maybe they could also loan them some players too, or ask a hard working club board like hull kr to do the honourable thing and step aside to ensure they get in.

Every passing day makes me more frustrated with the way our game is run, I then look at my club and realise that rl will survive this madness and top down propaganda. Give me blackpool and a weekend with another true recent rl success story and let the bulls have a six point slap on the arris and another three years of super dooper success.

John Kear was all but mocked for changing his opinion of licensing. Just because he's now at a championship club. That is exactly why he's changed you pair of muppetts, he, unlike many others has genuine experience of the matter in hand and can see its flawed even if simple P and R isn't the whole answer.

Anyway, sorry about the long rant. Now then, Where's mi jar of coppers for the penny push machines at the oasis arcade, that is what's important to me!
