As regular readers will know, I hibernated after our dismal performance against Sheffield, however today whilst sleepily checking my nuts I noticed this thread, In say good luck to Fev, they have proved over the last few years what a well run club they are. Consistant, and I predict they will win the GF.
Personally I wish we were there with Halifax, another great day out but, it's not to be.
Robin and Dave from Fev have a great day.

So back to hibernation, snoring and chewing my nuts, wake me up in Fev, I mean Feb.

Would have been good for it to be a Fev/Fax final maybe next year. I recon a a Fev/Fax final would have generated a 10,00-12,000 final attendance.

Doubt it, will you take as many it being your third GF in a row and your second Final this year?
Will Sheffield take as many as last year again it being their second Gf in a row?Plus if Donny get there they won't take many fans, maybe Barrow will as they get decent support.
I guess around the same attendance, maybe just just a few more with Barrow being there.

FWIW I think we will take a few more than last year and so will Sheffield, also I think the BarrowvDonny/Workington will attract a few more than the Keighley/Workington game last year. Not that any of this really matters as long as it is a good day out and shows the Championship in a good light.

But out of interest, do you think think Fax would have taken more or less in 2011 than 2010 if they had made a 3rd final on the trot?

About the same I guess, we are far too inconsistent to get those extra 'glory' fans as we all know a winning team brings people who like that feel good factor and will only go if their team might win!
Thats why I guess you are expecting to take more! I bet there will be more than at the NRC Final when the timing being at the start of the main school summer holidays cost about 1K at least imo

Very fair assessment.

I do think the timing of the NRC final needs a re-think, I know a number of people who couldn't make the final this year because of other commitments. I wonder if an earlier date in July would have worked better.

As is the Championship final and has been for a few years now, but hasn't stopped the Fax & Fev fans turning up in numbers year on year.
