I am thinking how the club can maybe make extra money and bring in new fans. Is it worth getting rid of season tickets and instead bringing in something that others clubs especially in Australia use- Membership? Season Tickets often do not apply to many as they may have to work shifts and think its not worth it. We could have an Individual Membership or a Family Membership at Gold Silver and Bronze or Maybe a Mans Membership offering things more inline with what a bloke would enjoy and another for the ladies. The membership can be adjusted each year and offers something for everybody even if they cant or dont fancy buying season tickets. Maybe something along the lines of as a Gold member you get 50% of paying at the gate, 50% off all merchandise and maybe something like discount or a voucher with certain Sponsors, Free entry in to a pre season raffle. Silver would be 25% of paying at the gate and 25% of merchandise and a couple of lesser discounts or vouchers from Sponsors and then Bronze would just be 10% of things with.

Is it worth setting up a Halifax/Calderdale Leagues Club similar to what runs in Australia where both the Pro team and the local amateurs have a company that makes money and the money is used to help both the Pro and Amateur game? For instance a lottery called "Halifax and District Rugby League Lottery" and any money from the amateur finals or Halifax U23s would go in to this pot. Halifax RLFC would take maybe say 50% out to help run academy teams and only players from Halifax Amateur teams could be signed to play for them or something. The rest of the money would sit in a bank. Amateur clubs could make an application to the board, asking for money to help run a youth team, pay for lights, pay to buy land etc. Maybe if the money is there to help pay for a Development officer/manager to work with the amateur clubs and help them get in to schools and promote the local amateur club in the schools as well as Fax. Is it viable or worth doing? I dont know but I do feel Fax and the game as a whole has to look at different ways and means of doing things and working more together to help each other.

Hi tlbc we at Fev have just launched the new membership with Family membership the bronze silver and gold membership obviously at diffent prices Don't know how it will take off but it was all positive last night at the launch If we increase the membership and it exceeds the 1000 season ticket holder we got last year then it will be a success seems to be the way forward

Yep - agree in principle but not sure about the detail.

It'd all need to stack up as a good deal for club and punter.

Less from more, rather than more from less should be the priority

This is a step forward in that it attempts to provide what the punter wants to buy. It needs monitoring to see which options are popular and which not. Personally, I don't get the "Regular" option - seems quite expensive for the benefits offered but - hey - people will vote with their wallets.
