The messing by Fev at the PTB is beyond a joke really and I was surprised that Hewer pulled them for it at all. Quite funny on the Fev forum saying that Aston should be charged for bringing the game in to disrepute. They must not have read Powell`s interview in League Express and his comments about Gareth Hewer. Im not sure it will be Aston that is getting charged.

They have nothing to complain about. They push the game to the limit and still only conceded eight penalties - which is pretty typical.

Not sure what to say. Seem to remember a specific Rule being brought into the tackle to stop the constant ankle lifting once tha tackle had been completed. Seems to have been forgotten now and have seen lots of it from huslet and eagles -it does spoil the game and causes alot of the pushing and shovihg at the play the ball. I am sure that powell will push the rules or lack of them to the limit wherever he can.

For once I agree with Griff, I will have to take a couple of calms now after this and maybe something stronger if it continues.

Fev have a definate coached way of tackling.

Most of the time they commit 3 to 4 players to the tackle who take there time to release, by looking at the ref becoming un entangled from their team mates and the opposition and by slowly getting up with their knees bent slightly forward and downward towards the guy trying to get to his feet, it's like they all get a touch of lumbago momentarily, watch it on the video.

It all adds up to slowing things down.

When it comes off it works to a treat and is what gives them time to get their line reset and line speed at the next play the ball.

It doesn't come of all the time though but when you play these tactics you shouldn't really complain.
As others have said when you play close to the edge you sometmes fall off.

At the risk of upsetting our illustrious rivals I would say if Fev had won that game then I don't think there would have been the same fallout.

It's as simple as this, you get away with what you can & push it to the limits, if you get caught you take your medicine. Coaches study referee's too as well as their opposition and their strengths & weaknesses. I think the penalty count was only 8-2 or something whereas in another game last weekend there were 31 penalties & 60 handling errors, i know which i'd rather pay to watch !
I have no qualms with slowing the game down, i'd do it myself if i could get away with it. If a ref isn't penalising for it, crack on & do it yourselves I say.
