Neil's Notes v Barrow/Away Travel v Featherstone : Mon Apr 22, 2013 10:43 am
With another 50 plus points we are certainly seeing some flowing rugby and into the draw for the 5th round later today. With no draw for Club 1873 as it was the cup we just had the voting for the Shay Lounge Man of the Match which went to Scott Murrell who gets the 3 points and Anthony Thackeray 2nd with 2 points and Tony Tonks 3rd with 1 point.
Scott extends his lead to 11 points closely followed by Anthony with 8 and Sam Barlow 3rd with 6.
The Hitman award sponsored by Halifax RLFC Players Ass and picked by the 1987 side went to Luke Adamson with Anthony Thackeray picking up the sponsors Man of the Match.
What a weekend for all those supporters to remember our Challenge Cup win in 1987 with the majority of the side attending the function on Saturday night especially Graham Eadie who was over from Australia and many attended yesterday's game and what a reception he got when he went out in front of the team. Graham was also guest in the Shay Lounge after the game and spoke of his happy times at Thrum Hall. He stayed on chatting with supporters and signing autographs and having his picture taken. He even pulled a pint which the bar kindly donated for one of the raffle winners. The winner will certainly remember that.
The half time draw winning number was 3996 for £168
