No Halifax side should be out-enthused and look as inept as they did tonight in front of their home fans. Diabolical loss tonight and how can we expect old / new fans to turn up when we provide dross like that on the pitch. Sadly it's not a one off versus the teams above us and yet again we've failed to deliver in an important game.

Poor effort tonight all round and dejected we seemed to have no backbone or enthusiasm for such an important game. We showed just how far away we are tonight.

Oh for Gods sake!!! I find myself agreeing with Chris Smith!!! Kill me now!!!

I know I rarely criticise - I hate to do so - but we do seem to have a habit of cocking it up at the wrong time, at the wrong place. And you're right - what happened last night should NEVER happen at home in an important match like that.

What a bummer. Felt bobbins driving back over the M62 after that.

Fevgrinder is one of my fave Fev folk, he knows his stuff ( rugby, music & real ale ) and a lovely bloke, I always enjoy our beers together. I wonder if his mate the Jonny Depp look-a-likey was John Thatcher ?

I suspect that the best way to stop your fans singing obscenities would be to put you to the sword on the field. If we capitulate as we did last week, then we deserve what we get. It's a bit like clubs that have supporters with drums - you need to put a load of points past them so they shut up!

Looking at the SL boards, it's worrying about the amount of antagonism and violence at their games. It makes the Fev/Fax thing and the need for segregation rather trivial and unnecessary. In my earlier days of supporting Fax, the supporters were, on the whole, self regulating and put any potential (same team) wrong-doers right before anything happened.

The funniest incident I witnessed was a couple of St Helens supporters at Thrum Hall, who placed themselves at the "wrong end" with the Fax fans and started mouthing off. There were a couple of coppers in attendance, but eventually one of the Fax fans had had enough and felled one of them with a single punch. The cries of "did you see that?" to the police was met with a response of "That wouldn't have happened if you were with your own supporters", and the two of them were escorted away!
