Unfortunately players had not been paid due to a family bereavement, dolly was found dead this morning and it's believed to be a tragic case of swim blader disease, the prize goldfish will be remembered and wages will be paid as soon as the mourning period is over.

A contract is a contract, you are obligated to pay it until the contract comes to an end. If a player doesn't show for training then they have to be submitted to a disciplinary procedure like any other business. You cant just decide not to pay them.

And like most people on here (possibly everyone) neither you or I know what procedures were followed, nor what is in each other's contract, for example if my contract stated if I don't go on a 2 week training course every year to keep me current with work procedures I will not get paid, then that is what it is. No training no pay. And yes I have seen contracts of a similar ilk.

But let's not get any of the possible facts in front of a good story, since the forum would be a boring place to visit.

Thank god he left us after one year and didn't do what he did at fev and stay here for a few years.

Did Saxton break his contract? What is the excuse for him not receiving money he was due?
