Championship "Summer bash 2015" : Sat Jul 26, 2014 6:58 pm
Am i correct in recalling that Blackpool FC's Bloomfield rd stadium became too expensive to hire for the NRC finals until it being transferred to the Shay stadium in 2013 & then subsequently disappearing from the Championship calendar altogether in 2014 ?
Yet, the RFL or the Championship's member clubs decide that all of a sudden it's not too expensive to hire for the said bun fight; http://www.loverugbyleague.com/news_155 ... -bash.html on the same weekend as the SL clubs annual booze up at anywhere they can think of other than the Etihad ( which seemingly is unavailable in that weekend of 2015 ) i read that Coventry's ( city council, not City the football club's stadium BTW ) Ricoh stadium is the latest mentioned as possible hosts..... http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/ ... ay-7370742 Is this some kind of a pi££ take on the paying spectator's behalf or am i missing something ? Oh, and all of those Championship clubs that profess to be remaining, or going "full-time" next season, should be drawn to play against each other instead of being gifted an easy local derby win points tally in my opinion at the "summer bash" which technically is incorrect as it takes place on a spring bank holiday weekend.... http://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/uk/ ... nk-holiday Those of us that believe it's going to be grand playing the likes of Bradford & London next season with their inflated financial rewards for being relegated better have another think about things, 'cos in my opinion, these two clubs will be better off being relegated rather than in previous years the bottom two SL clubs were left in SL to fend for themselves. Only my opinion of course, but don't say i didn't warn you. |
