Five international football games before 1930 and one Test Match v Australia 1902, I wasn't at that one but was at the last ever County Cricket game 4th, 6th 7th August 1973 draw v Lancashire.

I think you'll find that *soccer* is only played in the US of A.

I've argued this one with so many people. It's just not true!

Soccer for me as I have friends who consider Football to be Gaelic Football, American Football or/and Australian Football as "Football". Anyway going back to Tony. Good signing for Sheffield and think he will Show what we could have had under Aston who seems to get the best out of Players. Top bloke who tried his best but it just wasnt working under Harrison and for me was used wrongly and should have been coming off the bench not starting.

As I have said before, another member of the fax squad told me that Tony felt he was only good for 15 mins each half and was very disgruntled about the way Karl was using him.
Having said that do we want a top earner who can play for only 30 mins?
Yes I know Griff, lots of teams use their props sparingly but I bet they are not on top income.

To be fair if that's all he could manage then it really isn't good enough for a team wanting to be remotely near the top of our division.

I agree with you, pal. "Soccer" is a word made up by the Victorian ex-public schoolboys, as is "rugger". "Soccer" is an abbreviation of "Association" and "rugger" is an abbreviation of "Rugby". It's not rocket science.

Meanwhile "football" was originally played with the hands. The word is first recorded in the time of James IV. It's called "football" because it was played on foot, not because it was played with the feet.

RU have already hijacked the word "Rugby". Now we have soccer trying to hijack "soccer".
