Does anyone know what the financial difference will be if we finish 4th as opposed to 5th ?

Is part of the reward the fact you will be playing in the middle 8's which in theory better crowds and sales?

I do believe that the reward is better funding the following year but I don't have any figures to hand.

Shows how important a top 4 finish is despite the fact we'll take a mullering if we get there.
RM rated yesterday as 8/10 so he believes there is still more to come...thought their hooker was good and caused us problems but that apart we were in full control.

That a lot of money to 'lose' if we come 5th. As many of us have been saying this season in RM we trust and it looks like we might get there. Hard games ahead but that's what this game is about.
Even if we do get 'mullered' in the top 8 Id prefer to be there watching Fax put up a good fight than watching the cup/plate or what ever it is. No disrespect I would just prefer to see fax playing in the harder comp.

I posted to the contrary a few weeks ago but i've seen the error of my ways and fully agree now,even leaving aside the financials.

For anyone undecided about going to Keighley take a look at the difference between 4th and 5th. Hopefully that will make your minds up.

Looking to Saturdays game it is really important that we get 2 points as it will be from a team around us in the table, but more important is the 2 points against the Eagles back at the Shay the following week. This will be the first of a four game run in for the Eagles with Fax, Bulls, Fev and Bronco's on last day of the season.
Should we win both games it would almost make sure we got 4th or dare I say even 3rd place.
My thinking is that if Eagles beat Fev and Broncos they will open the door for Fax to be fourth, alternatively if they loose to Fev. Broncos, and Bulls with our better points difference we could sneak third.
I am also thinking that by the time we play the Bulls at the Shay they will be concentrating all there efforts on the middle 8 to gain promotion and may well rest some players for the tough programme ahead.
I have only missed one game this season and can see the gradual improvement week by week, we can now play for 80 minutes and our defence is much improved. Our attack is much improved too and therefore I have a very optimistic view of our last five games. I think our form is coming just at the right time even though we have recently lost three players through injury.
Richard as done a really good job up to this point and I just hope he can take us to fourth place and give our BOD a welcome prize of 500K as they deserve it.
I am looking forward to playing in the middle 8's.
