Neil's Notes v Batley : Mon Jul 13, 2015 9:30 am
Despite our 6 match unbeaten run this was always one game I was worried about and it proved to be. Despite being in control for the majority of the game we were suddenly just 6 points in front. Well done to Scott Murrell for a excellent drop goal which proved decisive in the end with Batley coming back again in the final minutes. We are now in reach of that top 4 finish and the middle 8's and the extra funding it will bring for next season. Along with that brings us some top games to finish the season .Our penultimate league game before the split takes us to Doncaster next Sunday with a 2.00pm Ko. The supporters coach leaves at 11.30. We just have a few places left. Adults £11 with juniors £5.
The Shay Lounge Man of the Match in association with BeanBagSports saw Ben Johnston take 1st place and the 3 points, with 2nd and 2 points to James Saltonstall with 3rd and 1 point Dane Manning. James now leads on 13 points with Ben 2nd on 11, Dane 3rd with 8 points and Scott Murrell and Luke Ambler on 7.
The Hitman award sponsored by Halifax RLFC Players Ass went to Jake Eccleston with a solid performance in only his 2nd game.
In Club 1873 the £25 voucher went to number 73, Catherine Choppen and the £20 voucher to number 46, Steve Porteus.
The half time draw winning number for £184 was 1271.
