Rhinos Secure the Treble with Knife Edge Win Over Warriors The 2015 season culminated with a showdown between the sides finishing the regular season in the top two spots, separated only by points difference, just as the purists would want it. The Leeds Rhinos were looking for their seventh Grand Final win to,secure a remarkable treble and send three of their finest servants in Sinfield, Peacock and Leuluai on to pastures new with yet another winners ring in their already stuffed personal treasure chests. But Wigan Warriors were there to spoil the party as Shaun Wanes side looked to banish the memories of last season heart breaking loss to St Helens and maintain their major final hoodoo over the team from over the Pennines. And the lad that gave the assist for the last Rhinos try was at Halifax a few years ago but the coaching staff back then decided they didnt want to run a U21s/Reserves back then. Few months later Paul Fletcher took him from Leeds Met to the Rhinos. Theres the importance of having an Academy/Reserve team!

Aye you're right but the thing Is, Fax spend money on U/21's or academy teams. We bring lads along and when we get them ready for 1st team some SL club comes along and takes them off us. There has got to be systems put in place to stop that scenario. That would also be the case if and when we get back into SL.

That happens even to SL teams like Hull FC. The thing is we would have players pushing for first grade and whilst a couple may go, some would be playing for Fax. It would also give us greater strength in depth and why I fully support the Clubs decision to have a reserve team again. I thought it was very short sighted from certain people when they shut down the reserves last time.
