I have tried to look up the club but can not find anything. I take it they are not a club yet formed. It is being put together to join the league next season, just like those other teams put together to join SL, PSG, Gateshead Thunder, Crusaders.... All of which are still thriving SL clubs with a huge support and fan base and have spread the love of Rugby League in areas where is was never played.... Oh dear

Google Toronto Wolfpack, there is quite a number of websites including Wikipedia. The club is already formed and the ground they are to use is a 10.000 seat stadium with regular crowds of 7000 for Rugby League internationals?
They have signed a three year lease on this ground after which they are rumoured to be moving to Owlerton and then Don Valley, Bramall Lane and perhaps Doncaster.
I can find no information to substantiate the radio this morning saying they are to be based in Bradford.

Just found it, they are to be based in Bradford for their away games, they will play their home games in blocks of four or five.

Looking at it Toronto is practically in the USA, sits on Lake Ontario north on New York State and near to what would probably be described as the 'blue collar' areas of Detriot, Cleveland and slightly further west Chicago. Looks to be a massive scope for expansion if it takes off.
Only thing is, as others have said, what the hell has it to do with the U.K. And why should they be allowed to break the salary cap.

I can't believe people are falling in love with this idea simply because the guy is bankrolling this project. I hate the idea of another club with no away support again in our leagues and do they think fans have thousands of pounds to spend every year on trips. Theres already wembley, summer bash/magic wkd, catalans or Toulouse away plus the grand final. Just a jolly for the fat controller

also how is this good for english RL exactly?, i'd give them my full support if it was a canada league that was getting big backing by all means but this seems logistically crackers
