Wishful thinking here Mr Hall, you may even be lucky enough to play a Leigh side who will field a weakened team as well, as we could already be crowned League Leaders by then. .

Nozzy's recollection is closer than BiginJapan's. Fax dominated in the 1st half, but couldn't turn it into points (6-0 half-time lead). Good start from Fax in the 2nd half, but a purple patch from the Leyther's put it out of our reach. A frustrating game if I remember rightly, because I felt over the 80 minutes we matched you. When you were on top, you scored the points, and we didn't when we had ascendancy. We're playing far better now than then, and I feel (hope!) it could be a cracker at the LSV.

Sparky, I sure the Leigh v Fax game on Sunday will be a cracker,firstly Leigh have started playing very well at the moment, we have our halve backs really both playing well, our pack has been outstanding all season, we have Higham and Hock back refreshed and we seem to be playing as a team, on the other side Fax are playing well ,and as last season seem to be getting ready to confirm a top 4 place, which all points to a very close hard game, I can't wait.,

A few days ago I was looking through the stats section on the Love RL site and they show what the league table would look like based only on 1st half scores or only on 2nd half scores. In the 1st half section Fax were 2nd, just 3pts behind Leigh and 5pts ahead of London in 3rd. Points scored (261) far exceeded points conceded (100). In the 2nd half section Fax were down in 6th having been overtaken by London, Batley, Bradford and Fev. Points scored (232) is now lower than points conceded (249). Seems a real contrast in form between 1st half and 2nd half performances. I don't know if that indicates a possible fitness issue or maybe a less effective bench compared to your starting pack? Points scored doesn't seem to change massively but 249 of the 349 points you have conceded this season (about 71%) have come in the 2nd half of games! Certainly an interesting statistic! That has certainly happened on more than 1 occasion this season with the Swinton home loss would be pointed at as costing us our top 4 spot if we miss out by a point. Again the mention of the bench is another interesting point as we usually start with 2 of the best forwards in the comp in Tangata and Calahane and it is noticeable a slight drop when they come off and a lift when they come back on. Finding players to play to those standards at this level is tough though especially in Tangata's case where you are probably talking about the best forward in the comp. It can be said our defence has improved over the past few weeks now and we are heading to where we thought we would be at the start of the season, having one of the best defences in the league. Our attack on the other hand has simply not scored as many points as we had of hoped.
