Its hard sometimes when it comes to judging signings and hindsight is a wonderful thing. The Sharp and Misi comparison is a classic example as if you asked most people in the game who they would sign if they had a choice I would bet that most would have gone for Sharp so in that sense you would think we signed the better player but judging how their seasons went Misi's was clearly a lot better than Sharp's and Sheffield not offering him a contract has certainly lit a fire in him.

My opinion that he is a better coach than Neil Jukes. Lets face it as I have said on the Leigh forum, a cardboard cut out could have coached Leigh to the top of the table this season. With the squad that leigh have had at their disposal this season they should have been hammering teams but apart from the Fax game they have been sneaking past the other top 4 teams and when you consider the difference in budgets between those teams I think Leigh have probably under performed despite the league table.

This is probably the most surprising thing of all for me, ( Charlie don't start on about our pack please).

We did have last year a set of forwards that more than matched it with the best of them but how many times have we seen them fall short this time round?

How many times have we heard RM using the term "we got rolled down the middle" "bullied" and similar phrases, depending on funding I expect that will be an area that gets a close look at.

Its not difficult to identify players who will better the team. Unfortunately the players brought in apart from Gaz Moore have failed to perform to a level required to reach that top 4. As already mentioned they haven't improved the side from last season. This is where we have fallen short ultimately - Recruitment

All about opinions I suppose. It could be argued that Marshall has taken fax backwards this season

If, and "if" is a big word in sport, Will had held onto the ball and we'd managed to win the game at the death, oh what a different conversation we'd be having now.

Can't see it happening, but we need to get focused on the game next weekend just in case Swinton can somehow manage to turn over Batley.

This will sharp focus is absolute sloblocks, get off the lads back for christs sake, he gave everything yesterday and for me had a great game.

I'll remind people it's a team game.

We lost yesterday because we weren't good enough and the opposition were better than us

If we don't finish in the top four it'll be because we weren't good enough over the season and the opposition were better than us

I would like to thank tangata, sharp, Muzza and salty for seeing the predicament unfolding and visibly looking for the ball with urgency, will didn't race in towards the end but his effort yesterday can not be questioned, his best game in a fax shirt. There was a moment when I swear I could see Muzza screaming for the ball. We needed a few more of these over the season.

Ultimately another poor start to a season was not remedied this time round. We were found wanting. The players must be kicking themselves and I would hope hurting.

Sorry lads. Just not good enough this time round, week in week out we lacked consistency and failed to the basics all too often.

But thats what Im trying to say, if you asked anyone who the winger would be that we should sign if we could sign anyone in this league to better the team Will Sharp would have been very high on most peoples lists.
