Neil's Notes v Sheffield/Away Travel : Mon Aug 08, 2016 6:56 am
Like most supporters I was disappointed with yesterday's performance. In the first half every time Sheffield were in our 25 they scored. We did get back to within 8 points mid way through the 2nd half and we looked on top then but things started to go against us and we let in 2 more tries. Things do not get any easier with Bradford away next. We are running a supporters coach to the Provident Stadium leaving the Shay at 1.15pm. Adults £6, juniors £3. To book phone me on 07714488080. We park out side the turnstiles so it is easy access to the Stadium.
The Shay Lounge Man of the match and 3 points went to Gareth Moore with Adam Tangata 2nd with 2 points and 3rd with 1 point Ben Johnston. Adam leads on 18 points with Gareth closing the gap on 15 with Dane Manning holding on to 3rd with 12 points with just 3 home games to go. The winner will be presented with his trophy at the Player of the Season awards night in the Banqueting Suite at the Shay on Tuesday 27th September. The top 3 also receive a case of beer. The awards are sponsored by the Halifax RLFC Players Ass along with the Hitman award which on Sunday went to Richard Moore. There was no Club 1873 draw against Sheffield with the final 3 draws at our last 3 Super 8 Shield fixtures. The half time draw winning number was 2275 for £126. Neil neilarber43@gmail.com |
