Neil's Notes v Sheffield : Mon Sep 26, 2016 11:10 am
Well what a disappointing end. It was always going to be just about impossible after trailing by 26 points although at 26-34 half way through 2nd half we were in with a chance but the penalties and field position Sheffield were given made it we had to chase the game and the interception finished us off. The Hitman award sponsored by Halifax RLFC went to Ben Johnston with his superb defence when he saved a certain score from a near impossible position.
This season might be over but roll on next and await the news on the playing front of comings and going. The half time draw winning number for £150 was 4627. The Player of Season awards made after the game saw Adam Tangata pick up the Player of Season along with Players Player and Shay Lounge Player of Season( Gareth Moore was second). The 2nd team Player of the Year was Jordan Syme and Players Player Luke Nelmes. The final award the Shooting Star was Brandon Moore. A total of £2991 was raised from Club 1873 and away Travel for the Season which is down as expected from 2015 but was still good and a big thank you to everybody who has supported me throughout the season. Will be back in touch with details of Club 1873 and Away travel for 2017 later in the year. Neil neilarber43@gmail.com 07714488080 |
