Neil's Notes v Batley/Away Travel : Mon Jun 25, 2018 7:41 am
Another good performance with some superb defence and attack which seems to be really clicking into gear. Yes still one or two unforced errors but put a good 80 minutes together.
Still keeps us in that top 4 with just 2 points separating 2nd to 6th. The Shay Lounge MOM was Scott Murrell who takes the 3 points with 2 going to James Woodburn-Hall who was also the sponsors MOM and 3rd with 1 point was James Saltonstall. Will Sharp and Chester Butler continue to lead on 8 points with 3rd place Ben Johnston on 6. The Hitman award went to Brandon Moore. In Club 1873 the £25 voucher went to Sharon Donkersley number 71 with the £20 voucher going to John Wainwright number 111. Next week on Sunday 1st July sees our trip to Cumbria when we play Barrow. Another hard game as it always is up there. We have just a few places left on the supporters coach. We leave the Shay at 10.30 for the 3.00pm Ko. Adults £15 with juniors £10. Well done to LS28 in getting 3 coaches sponsored to enable free travel to London on Sunday 15th July. With that in mind we are still running the official, traditional supporters coach but are having this subsidised with fares reducing from £28 to £15 with juniors travelling with an adult just £5, unless someone/company out there would like to come on board as a part sponsor? To book on any of these phone me on 07714488080. Finally a big thank you to the Club in the presentation at half time to Phil, Ned and myself in recognition of our 40 years voluntary service. Also to remember Stan Hardy who started with us 40 years ago this month who sadly is no longer with us. Neil neilarber43@gmail.com |
