There are reports today that London Skolars have gone bust and will no longer compete in Championship 1 next season. Whilst not a direct result of IMG's involvement in the game this will possibly be a foretaste of things to come. Make no mistake IMG are here to protect the status quo and anyone who thinks they are the saviours of British RL are sadly mistaken. Even clubs such as Fax are in danger from these people, they care not one jot about anyone outside of the so called established SL clubs and just to think...our BOD's voted in favour of their proposals. Beyond belief, turkeys voting for Christmas.

If it turns out that indeed img are just another vessel to look after the current super league clubs I would have no problem at all of a repeat of the breakaway scenario of what happened over a century ago when union and league spilt . What superleague fail to realise in there unrelenting quest of expansion is teams like Halifax , Bradford , fev , Batley , dewsbury , Oldham , Widnes etc is 30 years on the players still come from these same places.

Hey, listenup, I thought you objected to "doom and gloom" posts!

But hey, it is extremely frustrating for us fans to stand and watch the "Money Men" slowly destroy this great sport as they concoct one mad "idea" after another. Their obsession with expansion. Alienating grass roots clubs. Don't think a breakaway would improve things whatsoever tho'.

It’s not doom n gloom it’s more of an stick it up your booty to the wolf in sheep clothings approach by the rfl , an emotional rant based on a low iq attempt to con us , I’d have no problem watching amateur rugby for my fix if the very essence of sport is removed.
