Of course advertising works, whether it's tv or posters, it's called brand awareness!
Well we’re not advertising on TV or debating the value of advertising in general just the means of doing it and in context would a poster work for you then Tony?
Do you know of anyone that it has done?
Would a poster bring the price of admission down or motivate someone to spend the current asking price of £25 on something they either have lost or have no interest in on a freezing Saturday for a game there odds on to lose likely by a significant amount?
By the way the club have done this in the past and it made no difference to attendances but If someone thinks that a few posters / flyers would make any difference for this game above and beyond the other platforms that the club have used such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, then that’s up to them and is one thing and is nothing more than an opinion based on nothing more than that!
But when their great idea isn’t taken up it’s another thing for those people to use it as an angle to belittle what the club have done and somehow connect that to the major issues affecting the entire game shows very little awareness of the reality never mind awareness of brand.
The reality is the game as a whole is on it’s ar%e, the club just like the rest are caught up in it all with their own set of individual issues involving the ground, tax of a dormant company from years ago etc etc etc, there simply aren’t any quick fixes for the club or for the game as a whole.
For a fact the 2 remaining directors have personally given up their health and their wealth (to the sum of hundreds of grand) (and serious illnesses) affecting their lives and their wives and larger families.
For months they have been battling the huge challenges that we know something of and trying to keep the club afloat, at the same time and currently their working hard behind the scenes on trying to get new ownership in that can really take the club forward so please forgive them for having other things on their minds and not using a few posters / flyers and take that into account when talking about awareness.
