is the case that the team that wins the title is the team that wins the GF. The team that finishes top of the table gets a nice but meaningless pot. We've got one stuffed away somewhere, but it doesn't compare to the two NL1 championship trophies we've got
Giving the prize money to the team that finishes top of the table would be like giving the 100m Olympic gold to the runner in front at 90m, whether or not they cross the line first or fall over before reaching it.
