You've got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream, how ya gonna have a dream come true?

Are you claiming all you are entitled to? www.debtadvicenetwork.org then go to "Self Help" then "Benefits & Entitlements".

The Couriers Calderdale Sports Awards were presented last night, and the winner of the Professional Sportsman of the Year went to..................

Luke O'Brien who plays for Bradford Sh!tty.

http://www.halifaxcourier.co.uk/news/Ca ... 5270895.jp

That is really bad for the image of Halifax as a sporting town AT ALL! What do our professional Sportsmen have to do to get them selves into the public eye? I'd never even heard of the guy until the Courier Awards.

I am VERY VERY happy that Harry Brown came away with an award though. The lad is pure inspiration.

Because we're all grown ups that are too tight fisted to give away 60p so easily where as he probably had the backing of his whole school/college/whatever for starters!

Plus we had 3 representatives which could have split the vote. Wonder what the number of votes cast was?

Granted, but we should still have seen far more votes for a Fax player, whether they are from Calderdale or not, than a puffball player.

Disappointing that there was no option to vote for Scott Grix or Liam Finn who both shone in the world cup.

Some no name wendyballer who plays for a crap Soccer team wins- not good and agree the profile of the club and the players despite all the good work needs to be pressed home even more. Some of that lies with us though as we should be encouraging people (Friends, relatives and workmates) to get down alongside the work the club does.

A slight over-reaction Yob.

Does anyone really care about the Courier Sporting Awards? I know 'Fax have been desperately trying to get supporters to vote for whichever nominations were on there representing HRLFC. But does anyone really give a s***?

There has not been one single mention of it on the FCHT forum. No surprise given that we are kak, but maybe because nobody is bothered either.

So who voted for a Bradford Sh!itty player Bubs? It won't have been Town fans, but who was it?
