Carrying on with business Fax style. : Fri Apr 01, 2011 6:59 pm
Well I can`t say I wasn`t disapointed with yesterdays news but I would be lying if I said it was not expected , so what now? Well I for one will continue to do my bit towards helping our club be the best it can be regardless of yesterdays decision . At the begining of the season The Supporters Trust commited to raising £25,000 to run the Under 23s thanks to all Fax fans we are well on our way as we have already handed over £10,000 to the club. Our next event will be Jamie Bloemes evening with his special guests and tomorrow morning I will be down at the shop from 10-30am for around an hour selling tickets which will be £8 each. Anyone wanting tickets saving pm me and I will keep them for you . Also I will be taking names for anyone interested in the sponsored walk to Dewsbury thanks. Lets all try not to lose heart did we really expect the RFL to give us a break ? no, and we also have another few weeks to make us harder to ignore next time . Like the fact that we fill the criteria for a licence wheras there are clubs in Super League that don`t, end of story as far as we are concerned .
I looked around the table at the Shay yesterday as the announcement was made and felt sad for the Directors and sponsors such as Roger Harvey but they all kept a dignified council. I expected nothing less from the people who represent our club and really nothing more from the RFL.
So come July I would expect nothing less than a place in Super League as we have fulfilled our criteria and whats more the RFL will know whose place we will be taking . So I say to the RFL tell them now so they have time to prepare.
