Is this good news for Fax fans? More specifically from it... The rethink has been timed to coincide with the unveiling of a new title sponsor, TV deal and expansion of the league to 15 teams.

In a TV interview on the 31st March Richard Lewis said categorically that SL would NOT be expanding the teams.

NOT ABIT...IF THIS IS TRUE IT JUST MEANS NO-ONE IS COMING DOWN.

THE RFL BOTTLE IT AGAIN!

NO SUPRISE THO REALLY IS IT.

THE ONLY WAY WERE IN IS IF WAKEY GO DOWN, WHICH THEY SHOULD, PROBIZ BECOME NEW SPONSORE OF SL, WHICH IS LIKELY, AND THEY WANT US IN!

They lived outside of their means and went bust.
Contributed little to the competition over several years.
Worst Ground in Super League by a long way and would be one of the worst in the Championship.
And they will likely finish bottom this year.

It may be but I'd bet that because Widnes are confirmed being in 2012 SL they'll think it's expanding rather than a team dropping out. Most media have no interest or idea about Rugby League as we have often seen over the years.

15 teams wouldn't sit very well with the 'Magic' Weekend. Perhaps they could just give Quins a 'bye' that weekend, complete with 2 pts.
