Summer Bash (FaxBuilder) : Fri May 13, 2011 1:05 pm
Afternoon – I wanted to take the opportunity to raise the profile of The Trust’s next major event for FaxBuilder. This event will take place on Friday 1st July, 2011 at The Venue, Bowers Mill, Halifax. This weekend is particularly of interest as on Sunday 3rd July we will also have the sponsored walk to the Dewsbury fixture taking place. We are now over the halfway mark in our drive to raise £25k and are fast approaching the £15k raised mark which is a remarkable feat considering we only began fundraising in January this year. We are really eager to raise the £25k as quickly as possible and potentially could achieve this early July if everyone gets behind these 2 events as our aim is they raise £10k between them. This would mean that having reached our target with 3 months to spare we can raise even more for the club essentially allowing us to potentially cover the entire cost of the U23’s for this season (approx £35K). I think we can all appreciate how this would really help the club and directors.
We really want the Summer Bash to appeal to all and with this in mind we have put together an event that will appeal to the young, old, rugby fans and non rugby fans and we are also eager for businesses to get involved and support the event. For the cost of £25 all your entertainment and food are included and if you book a table of 10 the price is £225 (£22.50 per ticket), so it offers great value for money. Our entertainment includes a Swing / Rat Pack style singer, Lea Roberts – Comedian (ex Halifax RLFC player, and winner of ITV’s Stand Up Britain show) plus a Disco. On the food front we are having a Hog Roast and this will be supported by a buffet style menu to suit all diets!! Also during the night we will have an auction of special prizes.
Please get behind us and support this as we have a superb venue in a beautiful location that holds 300 people and we really need to fill it. If 150 fans simply brought their partners we’re full!! – Get your company/employers to book a table; ask your friends but please support this event and there is no reason it can’t become a permanent annual fixture in everyone’s diary. You don’t have to be rugby mad to enjoy this night as we are specifically making it an occasion for all tastes and ages.
If you have any questions want to book a table or a ticket PM me ASAP as we want to sell this out quickly!!
Thank you
Chris
