Well I wish Dave all the best for his testimonial but at £750 per table plus travel to Leeds , drinks and probably raffle it`s not so far off a thousand which is the price of a decent holiday .So no I will not be going but if there`s something more Fax priced I`d chip in a bit of something.

No it isn`t if you buy the table we don`t have any rugby friends they are all golfers so to get them to come to support we have to buy the table . The summer ball was not too bad at £250 plus it was at Barkisland close to where we all live , but I draw the line at a table for £750 . It might not be a lot to you but it is to me I`m a pensioner.

I was thinking 10 bodies per table, ergo £75 each, but i take your point. Me, for example - i have no friends so one table would cost me £750 and lots of sad stares and as you say, that's far too expensive and i'm not a pensioner.

Anyway, don't you pensioners have loads of cash stuffed under the floarboards and matresses and such? When we shipped my grandma off to the nursing home we found approximately £19,000 in cash stuffed in every orifice of the house you could think of. There was just shy of £1,000 in the tumble dryer (along with a bag of satsumas, strangely enough). I bet that house still has hidden treasures - i think my gran used to do battle with Indiana Jones.

I do keep trying to salt a few quid away but my hubby finds it and spends it , plus I can`t believe you have no friends I am sure you have plenty your just living at the wrong side of the Pennines.
