Its not 'the' board but the Strategic Management Board.

Wether anything comes of it (apart from a nice photo) is another thing. The jury is out for now.

Unless Cas or Wakey get the boot there isn't a cat in hell's chance of them getting in. Hell, they've been pretty much THE dominant team here for three years and no-one's talking a jot about them getting in.

Well you'd think not Richie, and for years I would have agreed with you. But there is a spark of optimism about the place at the mo that's difficult to disengage from.
As always at Fev it's 2 steps forrad one back, but the fact that it's forrad momentum at the mo represents a complete reversal to the years of decline I've witnessed these last 2 decades!

Last July, we all new Wakey were coming down and the Crusaders project was safe in the RFLs hands.
I'm not sure that Wakey are that safe. I'm not sure any club is. If rumour is to be believed, Fev were contacted as a 'fall back' to step up if one of the current SL clubs went R's uppards in the closed season. As I said, that's rumour and I have no evidence to underpin it as fact.

But, IF fev did keep making progress, there are some vulnerable clubs in SL owd cock! Both Fev, Fax and Leigh may well be fighting it out for a spot!!

Seriously mate don't get your hopes up. The entire bid process defies logic and you can end up getting seriously disenchanted with the game. No matter how good your club is, the application is all that matters. Widnes proved that on the field doesn't matter when it comes to licensing it all off the field. We all have to meet Widnes's standards from last year to stand a chance. With a millionaire backer it took them six years to put in place!

Yup and I agree in all that. I'm not even saying it would be Fev that steps up, tho we will be much better placed in 2014 than arguably we have ever been.
What I am saying is Wakey were a gnats cock off collapse and survived cos the botty fell out of crusaders. Bradford, if thr RL buzz is owt to go by are far from rosey. There are others and tho I think it will take more than some sheeting over a terrace to impress the RFL, I also think it will require a catclismic collapse of a club for another Champ club to be elevated. Filling dead man's shoes is not what I want out of the game, but that's what it looks like it will become sadly.

As I recall,FAX were told the very same, if we kept quiet over the Franchising "fiasco"
