Harrison's influence? Fax on the Up! : Thu May 17, 2012 11:30 am
After visiting the Shay again last night for a 23's game it stood out to me that the club as a whole seems to have moved forward leaps and bounds both on and off the pitch since last season.the whole setup just seems more proffesional. i can only put this down to Rhino's arrival. He seems to have taken the club he loves by the scruff of its neck and will not settle for 2nd best.
in the 23's in the games i have seen this year have been awesome to watch and are going well in the league. MG and big Jim are doing a great job! and now we have the 18's aswell!
Everything seems to be happening properly and for a reason unlike many times in the last 6-7 years where i thought we were just stumbling from one disaster to the next!
Rhino was at the 23's last night with LG and NH, and it was also great to see the likes of Luke Ambler, Josh and Dane Manning watching the whole game too.
We look to have some real promising youngsters coming through! number 16 last night was awesome (didnt ctach his name) and the fullback too!
what an incentive for the younger players knowing that they are been watched and graded by Rhino, if if they perform 'you never know' hes a coach known to pick on performance rather than rep.
The difference with these youngsters is that with Rhino in charge overall i see us as having a good chance at retaining the kids, rater than them jumping to the SL clubs like in past years. He has been there and done it and can be a huge influence on the young players decisions in the future.
Also the clubs decision to employ Pete Emmett i think will turn out to be a master stroke, anyone with so much enthusiasm about the game, and also alot of rugby league contacts in the higher leagues can only stand us in good stead in the future.
There are far too many negative things put on this forum, and i wanted to state how impressed i am with Halifax RLFC at the minute!
cant wait for Batley!
Onwards and upwards to some trophies now!
