The friendly agains Batley at the Shay 20th January due to the pitch being unplayable is being moved to Batley with 2pm kick-off.
But even this move reliant on th weather

If it snows then they should call the rugby off and instead host a skiing competition down the slope.

It tells us that Halifax stands on higher ground than Batley. It tells us that longer shadows are cast on more area of pitch as the Shay is less exposed. Now here's the science bit - the sloping pitch causes gravitational friction (gravifictatum) thus making it harder for the surface to freeze over. We should never have left the slopes of Thrum Hall.

Having seen the forecast for the next few days I doubt we will see any rugby on Sunday anywhere never mind Batley or Halifax. I assume the club will look at having a game the week after hopefully when the weather improves?

I read if they can't play Sunday they'll try again Tuesday at the Mount
