SL down to 12 teams for 2015 so does that mean two relegated next year and another season with no promotion or will a championship team be promoted next season with three teams coming down? P.S. l haven't been on the booze!

Two down. That's it. They have yet to decide how they're coming down or what structure will be in place after or whether there will be strict criteria before promotion.

This is what I think - I think we're in for a shock. Stage 1 of the SL clubs' plans are in place - a reduction of clubs and more money for the remaining 12. Next up - shut up shop. I think they will bring in stringent measures for the promoted club, so much so that it will be impossible to go up (unless they want you of course). What this does in effect is still makes the bottom of SL exciting because hey - guess what - you might get relegated so fight fight and fight and get the fans in for relegation play off RL. Job done. Oh dear, there isn't a club strong enough to come up. Oh London - you are reprieved!!! That was close............


And that's the future folks.

Might just be us Rich but I have said before, it's a stich up, personally I am really struggling to get away from the negative.

If nothing else happens the greedy SL clubs have got what they want and the rest their not interested in.

As far as the game goes i'm hanging by a thread, the thread is Halifax RL if they and the rest in a similar position don't get a fair crack this time round me and mine will probably be a couple more casulaties.

The only saving grace in their SPECTRE-like plans is that we get two more "SL type" clubs down here with us. OK if it's Castleford/Wakefield - not so if it's London.

I CANNOT WAIT to read about how SL is now an evil empire by the fans of those clubs that come down. After reading that idiotic post on the other thread - I hope it's Salford.

Why can't the chaps at Red Hall/SL read stuff like this and realise what they are doing to the game? Or is it that they just can't read?

Proposals I've heard for reducing to two twelves are ...

Divs 1/2 Two down, none up.

Divs 2/3 Seven down, two up (because To-Lose will get shoehorned in)



But they're just proposals at the moment.

They can read, they just don't care.

reckon we'll get Widnes back and possibly London unless they put the bottom 4's names in a hat and draw out the ones they don't want in.

I could go along with a closed shop ultra-special league if the clubs in it were ultra-special. Right now they're denying clubs (only a few though) who are no worse than the bottom six in SL the right to progress and the right to reap the success of their achievements in a lower league. It smacks of hypocrisy. I keep hearing "what MORE do clubs like Halifax, Sheffield and Featherstone offer SL"? Get stuffed you pontificating two-faced nimby's!! Although I don't believe it will happen, I would LOVE IT, LOVE IT (Kevin Keegan style) if P&R was to be brought back as a regular and permanent feature. Let's see how cocky those idiotic fans are then!

The issue I see with London (maybe) going down next year if they finish bottom is the state of their club in the Championship.

the crowds aren't the best now but would ANY turn up to see London v Keighley?

also they are kept afloat currently by sponsors/a money man, will they stick around in the championship?! I think not.

the way that I see it, if London do go down, that's probably it.
