I do not particularly like football at any level, but I wish any team which bears the name of Halifax every success. Basically I hope they do well and I think the article below in todays Yorkshire Post shows how well the club must be run. http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/fo ... -1-6358878 Don't be fooled into thinking this was hidden away like it is on the web site, this article was next to back page news. One thing that stands out is that this was a full page article and bigger than the article about the Hull FC chairmans misgivings over the future of Super League. How come a team in the lower Leagues (no disrespect intended) gets more coverage than a decision that affects the whole of one sport? Does Halifax Town have a better press department than the RFL? Food for thought?

Please, let's not start having threads about FCHT on here. I can't remember the last time we had one and it is a RL forum after all. Just because they are obsessed with Halifax RLFC it doesn't mean that we have to reciprocate.

Sorry if that sounds like a dig at you, HalifaxJohn, because it isn't. Just a general comment, thinking aloud more than anything.

I did put O/T and was inviting comments about the lack of press coverage for our sport, not intending to start any unpleasantness, which as regular readers will know, is not my nature.

I feel this is an excellent post.It combines complimentary
comments to the football club with a realisation of
where RL finds itself in the global sports world.
As an aside it seems we will find out how P&R will
be decided next week.Hopefully the solution will be
sound and revigarate interest in our sport.
