Permit me if you will to put my Chris Smith hat on but has anyone else noticed the heightened off-field activity from our main rivals Leigh and Featherstone? Apart from pre-season video snippets we seem to be lagging behind in this regard in what is THE most important springboard season for a long time. We have a marketing guy heading the club but it all seems a bit flat. Far be it from me to criticise the club but I just feel we're missing a trick. I know that Simmons has been to the Sydney Roosters on a fact finding mission but what else is in the pipeline? Apart from the obvious on-field requirements we need a visibly pro-active back office to prepare for a SL launch if we really are serious. Or am I being too unkind?
