Today v Whitehaven : Sun May 17, 2015 4:28 pm  

A strange game I thought. We scored 60 points and some super tries but I came away thinking we could have had 80. Our left side attack alone must have blown 18 points. A big plus was how we kept our composure. No Leigh brawl today but how did their number 30 stay on't pitch. All in all though, a good performance and a good way to go into next week's game versus the icons. Lindley club, Ossett Silver King 4.3 % Mmm! Up The Fax!

Some great tries and good rugby for 60 minutes especially second half but once again not a full 80 minutes we gave them the ball too often for last 20 minutes of first half letting them back in the game, but as you say we blew 3 tries.
Something good is happening in the middle of the pitch when we break through and great support play but can't work out who is causing it?
Happy with that today those lapses apart!

Good to see us actually put one of the lower sides to the sword. Need to be even more ruthless with ball in hand and i agree with Hudd Shay could have had even more. If we give the ball away against Bfd, like we did this week, then we will be on the wrong end of a blow out score. Need to let Craven do more kicking - he gains better yardage on penalties and also Holroyd style up and unders are quality! Also special mention to those Haven fans who made the trip. Proper supporters and a credit to your club.

I think it's because they are so sly in the tackle that it's difficult for the officials to see it.
Looking from the East Stand half way it's easy to see what they were up to.
They are just hoping a player will react, and get at least a yellow and if they are lucky a red, ala, Sam Barlow, seemed to target Mitch early on, perhaps that was one of their game plans.
Well done Fax and as been said well done Whitehaven supporters, a long way home.

Incidentally thank you all for purchasing a Golden Gamble ticket, the money raised really does help our wonderful club and to be fair if some of you tight
Bug-rs had bought one then the club would have benefited even more and I would have got more than £166.

They certainly picked out Mitch today. A better ref would have seen what was going on and done something about it. I normally laugh at the "get 'em onside" comments, but how far in front of the official they were at times today was almost comical!

Discipline from the team today, given the provocation, was impeccable.

We've clearly been working on some moves down the left with Tommy and Tyrer. They didn't come off today, but please keep at it guys, as it's those sorts of plays that will undo the better teams in this division.

A strange game, and hard to get "excited" because of the quality of the opposition, but a good win nevertheless against a very "robust" team.

Btw, we really need to learn how to protect the catcher when the high bomb goes up. Jonno was nowhere when their no 3 plucked the air out in front of him, but there should have been someone else feigning to climb for the ball in front of him to give him a clean chance of catching the ball.

Danny Craven played really well today imo.

how did we not get a penalty today when ben heaton was basically thrown onto his head?
