Personally I see Cooke as cover, but I suspect that this will not be the case.
However as I have said to MM I can see how Cooke would fit into the side at 13, since this would give us a fourth pivot, which I would like to see. Also I suspect he would give us some good direction around the pitch, but for me as with Sykes he probably no longer has the pace for 6 (i.e. the likes of Johnston at Fax). I’d like to see Milner given an extended place in the side at 6 since he looks like he could definitely make the grade.
Assuming that Cooke has signed a pay for play contract I don’t see this as being a bad signing for the rest of this year.
