Yes he's been shocking in the 2 games for us, but trying to analyse why, I suspect that as a super league ref, he is reffing the super league way, therefore calls are more likely to favour the super league teams. Is it just unlucky that we have had him for both games, or, RFL conspiracy to ensure Fax lose the games. I leave that open to your own opinions.

While I'm sure there are subtle differences in the way the SL and Championship are reffed, please don't think it's all as cack as that cretin refs, he's like a poor mans Childs. Good luck for the rest of the 8's, I'd love it you lot made the million pound game at the expense of your more "confident" league mates, and would make the trip to cheer you on.
Has been allocated to us for the rest of the season?
Could we be that lucky?
Though I reckon they won't allow him on TV.
Does anybody know today's and last weeks penalty counts?
Think the actual count masks the true storyAt a guess it was around 7-7 which on the face of it appears fair. However HKR penalties came for critical 50/50 calls and at times when they were on repeat set attacks.Ours came deep within our own half or at convenient times when Rovers were 2 scores up.Not sour grapes HKR deserved to win.

I think I saw the penalty count was 8-5 to KR you are right though about the timings of things. Its worth noting that in the ref ratings Hicks has got the lowest one for the games in the Middle 8's two weeks on the trot. Back to the timings, there had been plenty of messing about in the first half but no team really penalized for it but within a couple of minutes of the 2nd half starting he had already done KR for offside. What changed at HT for him to suddenly start looking at offsides? We had the same where we got a penalty for lying on in a pretty normal tackle in the 2nd half yet it had been going on much worse for most of the game. The one that stands out is the one before HT against Moore for not standing square, I thought he got that badly wrong and instead of putting the ball in the scrum we conceded at try. That was massive.
