Man of the match v London : Sun Mar 12, 2017 6:24 pm
I'll kick it off this week.

1. Gaz Moore (I thought he'd done enough to get it on the field)
2. Scott Murrel.
3. Mitch Calahane (tackled hard. Could have given third to a number of players)

1. Fairbank (he was a wrecking ball today)
2. Muzza (organised and kicked well)
3. Moore (kicked really well and tried hard to pick London's pocket)

I know we'll always want refs to call offside etc for your own team, but I thought the ref today had a good game too.

Some good performances today.
Boyle, his best this year.
Grix, Kaye and Murrell made telling efforts.
Sharp was rock solid at 1.
However I will go for.
Fairbanks, (let down only by his penalties).
Salty. For his second halve carries.
Tangata for his huge hits.

They all played very well, anyone not picked has a job to get in it now. The defensive effort totally demoralised London. We probably had positions to score a couple more, but that's me being picky. It was one of the best performances I have seen in a while. Maybe not the flashiest, but one of the most dogged and mature Fax have put in recently. It reminded me of 2015-16 where we started the season poor, but got more and more organised every week, and by the end we had bags of confidence. Congratulations to Richard Marshall for getting the lads doing the right things and digging in, Rugby League isn't so complicated sometimes, mental toughness goes a long way.

I must admit, I wasn't Sharp's greatest admirer last season. Now beginning to see why Fev held him in high regard. A different player!

Grix is improving every game, and the dual-reg full time fitness put us on a level playing field with London.

Congratlations Fax. It's been a while coming beating a top 4 team!

Firstly what a 17 man team effort that was. Our bench looked a lot stronger than last week which it needed to be.

Fairbank-outstanding on attack and defence
Grix-getting better as he gets fitter-class act.
Salty-masses of work for winger and great go forward.
