Halifax RLFC 2018 - Regular Season Summary : Sun Jul 29, 2018 8:25 pm
Well, I’d like to start by saying....... GET IN!

The energy at the club is fantastic at the minute, so congratulations to everyone connected, from The New Directors, Coaches, Players, Volunteers, Cheerleaders, Fans, everyone, awesome effort this season.

Special mention to LS28, it just goes to show that the energy and passion of fans, with focus, belief and determination can make a difference.

In addition to this, the new Directors have pushed things on, and created a fresh feel without losing our identity, well done to you all, its appreciated, and I know it will be more hard work and stress than most fans will realise, thanks again.

Saving the best till last...

The players, what can we say, all we can ask is they give it their all, do their best, want to improve, and enjoy what they do. You’re all a credit to yourselves, your families, the club and the town. I would urge you all to take this achievement and run with it, there’s more to come from you guys, go on and show people what you can do, and enjoy it.

Finally, Richard Marshall, what a superb bloke, and what a consummate professional, we are lucky to have you. Looking back to those Thrum Hall days when he quietly went about his business, in a decent side, who would have thought he would be so pivotal in reenergising the Sport in the town, mending bridges, believing in youth, sticking by us and bringing fantastic players to the club, and giving local lads the chance to make it as a professional.
Richard - Well done, these lads are achieving because you believed in them and gave them the chance.

We have a club to be genuinely proud of, and envied, no mean feat with our up and down past.

Bring on the Rhinos, lets have some fun, and lets get some new fans interested, and make the next generation of players inspired..... oh and to the Players, its not impossible, believe..... give it your best, we’re proud of you all and well back you to the final hooter.

Yours sincerely

Well said justthebasicfax. loved today.

And let's not forget. If Cas fail to get to the Super 8s semis, according to Hudds-Shay we'll be allowed to have 5 Cas players should we get to the million pound game. Wow, bring on Luke Gale, Shenton, Watts, McShane and Milner. SUPER LEAGUE HERE WE COME!

Agree entirely with your post . It is the fresh energy that makes it all feel better as a fan . Thank god for the changes made they were years overdue I am sure that Richard is finding the work environment far more enjoyable and receptive for him building for the future. The signings this week are an indication of where the bar has been set for the team and it's certainly rising . Great stuff all around from the office staff upwards. A lot of smiling faces going home today.cant wait for Leeds at home . Please can all Leeds fans come and fill the North stand we haven't seen you in years so you are very welcome to fill our coffers. That one game could cover close season costs. Come on down Sir Kevin Sinfield we might just surprise you .

I cannot wait to see the Rhinos down the Shay, its massive game for the kids, and i would urge mums and dads to get there kids down to see the most successful British Club of the modern era play Halifax, yes Halifax and inspire the next generations to love rugby like we do..

I was lucky enough to have a dad that took me to see a young Mal Meninga, Geoff Robinson, Chris Anderson, Joe Kilroy etc all playing at Thrum Hall... admittedly Mal was against us, but i was on the hook...

The feel good vibe is back. Well done lads...

What a great place to be about at the moment and I totally agree with what you say. The old board took a very brave decision to introduce the reserves at the expense of the first team and you wonder where we might have been now if that decision was not made. You have to feel that the club would not be in this priveledged position we find ourselves in now. A fantastic well done to people who put the plans in place and another massive well done to the people who are carrying it on.

Getting Leeds at home is massive as that would make up the monetary difference between 7th and 8th if we did happen not to win a game again which again is massive for the club and gives us a big advantage next year over our closest part time rivals.

Now to just get more people through the gates to watch a team that is comitted to the cause.

Re: Halifax RLFC 2018 - Regular Season Summary : Sun Jul 29, 2018 9:20 pm
I've aged 20 years in the last 4 weeks and hated every minute (until the last 5 minutes of each game) but what a fantastic effort from the lads, in particular finishing above Leigh's 20 full time Super League players. Unbelievable effort.
