Time for a line to be drawn under this by responsible fans who love the game and their club, the idiots are hidding behind you and tainting your good name, don't let them! Just posted this on the message board at Fev. Don't have an account with the board they use most. I think there is too much well, it was high jinx or how can you say it is a fev fan etc going on. That isnt important imo the lad is important and as I said the thugs and the idiots are hiding behind the good name of the club. Its time for people to come forward, do the right thing and draw a line under this, for the sake of David and his family and for their club and the game of rugby league. This lack of action, hiding those responsible is quite frankly making my stomach turn.

Aparently the more it is investigated and (inspite of some posting to the possible contrary) in the absense of any evidence in any other direction the police appear to be increasing thie efforts into investigation this as an unprovoked assault.

I was told by a Fax fan at yesterdays Grand Final that the lad has been in a coma since last Sunday.

It is sad that no progress as yet been made on bringing the culprit(s) to justice.

Best wishes obviously for a speedy recovery and what his mam and dad are going through does not bear thinking about.

Best wishes for a full and complete recovery to the 'Fax fan. It is very sad that a wonderful day out, with a wonderful outcome should end so badly for the guy.

When something like this happens, it really makes things like sport look pretty insignificant, doesn't it?

Warrington detectives disappointed about response to attacked Halifax fan appeal http://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/news/8431553.Detectives_disappointed_to_the_response_to_an_appeal_about_attacked_rugby_fan/ But officers received only a small number of calls about the serious assault and believe more people have information and have not yet come forward come on, anyone who knows anything, there is no excuse, phone the police....

I think the biggest problem is that the information lies with a fev fan somewhere due most fax fans were still inside the ground celebrating.
