Nah, unfortunately its pretty much a done deal. Wakefield out Widnes in.....Done.

Surely this is just another story

Just because they have come out and said its 14 teams this may still not be the case - then again we all know the RL do not go back on their word !!!!

I still have hope and still believe we will will get in - if not though we will be build and try again in the next three years.

We can all hope and pray but I'll be bloody glad this time next week when we know for certain.

The announcement that supposedly clarified it would definitely be 14 teams looks to have killed off any hopes we had. Personally, my glass is still half empty on this one but still can't understand the recent investment at Wakefield though, assuming they're doomed ones.

If we dont get the Nod, ( i still think we will ) then Myself and the Family ( 5 ST holders ) will be having a year off, Thats not to say i am giving up on supporting fax but it is getting a little tedious with playing the same teams all the time, I will pick and choose the ones i go to and save some cash for other things.

Then come back the year after enjoy a renewed and revigoured league........Oh no, i tell a lie it will be the same teams again.

I dismay i really do, Fax have had the best 3 years in a long time largly thanks to the coaching staff and the player recruitment. How can this be ignored, i mean seriously, 3 finals in 3 years, always in the playoffs, decent runs in the Challenge cup etc and all this on 1/5 of the superleague salary cap. Plus the stadium, the plauidits about the ground and the pitch etc.

Oh and if it turns out wakey stay up and someone else comes down then i am finished, Bat and ball packed up, flight booked and foooookkkkeeeeedddd ooooooofffffff!!!

I do not get your point here - SOC (if to be believed) knew they were superleague bound so he invested with a promise of SL - I cannot believe the guy at Wakey as invested if he as not had an assurance - or would the RL rather a team went bust mid season.

That is why I was under the impression they would increase to 16 teams as I would be surprissed if any of the Expansion clubs go.

Well i guess thats the SL dream over with, i know the final has been a distraction but not much coming out of the club in regards to this either. By the time the next round comes around every team in SL will meet the criteria making it impossible for them to kick anyone out and with little hope of there been more TV money the league will be stuck at 14 teams meaning that this is it, done and dusted.

We just need to continue to build and try and dominate this league, nothing else to play for now.

I still for the life in me cannot understand what Catalans & Toulouse bring to the game of British RL? No away fans! Great idea RFL.

Harlequins have had long enough to improve attendances.
Crusaders go bust every year.

Things will only ever change if SKY withdraw coverage in years to come.
The RFL are puppets to SKY and thats that.

Too many fans are dissillusioned and the championships will decline even further.
The RFL make profit because of SKY at the true fans expense.

Champ clubs should break away and go it alone. Someone with passion, business nouce and powers of persuasion can do this, because otherwise the Championship will be dead within the next 10 years.

Pfftt. Hemmings quote "Widnes welcome to the family".
Well I wish clubs at our level could join our own & not be the RFLs pet dogs.

Is there a possibility that the RFL could be legally challenged this time. For instance I understand we have been told we meet the required criteria, just that for the first round Widnes were better. But if licences are awarded to other club(s) who do meet all the requried ciretiera (just same promises to do so in the future), could the RFL be in breach of their own rules.
